Marian G. Anthonsen, 82 Youngstown- Marian G. Anthonsen, 82, of 3037 Canfield Road died Tuesday evening at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. She was born in Woodland, Pennsylvania June 29, 1922, a daughter of Lawrence and Etta Maines Cupler. Mrs. Anthonsen was a homemaker and also worked as a welder at Truscon during WW II. Her husband Edward, whom she married October 8, 1945, died October 28, 1997. She leaves five daughters, Linda Shura of Youngstown, Aleata (John) Byler of Columbia, SC, Barbara (Tim) Byler of New Middletown, Elana McKinna of Youngstown, and Edie (Jack) Goodspeed of Poland; three sons, Edward (Leanna) Anthonsen of New Springfield, Eugene (Mary Kay) Anthonsen of Youngstown, and Carl Anthonsen of Youngstown; three sisters, Betty Backur of Austintown, Joan Stuckey of Hubbard, and Wanda of Texas; two brothers, Lawrence Cupler of California and Duane Cupler; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Eric and Allen Anthonsen; and four sisters, Pauline, Roberta, Doris, and Marie.
