Poland - Margaret Ann Yentch, 91, of Poland, died early Friday morning at Maplecrest Nursing Home in Struthers.

Margaret was born April 23, 1923 in Poland, a daughter of Vinton and Mable Williams Goodridge.

A life-long resident of Poland, Margaret graduated from Poland Seminary High School and attended Youngstown College.

She worked for the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company for 2 years and then followed her husband Arb to Brooklyn and worked in the Navy Yard as a Teletype Operator during World War II. Margaret worked at many companies as a Kelly Girl including Southside Hospital in the X-Ray Department. She retired from Mahoning County Diagnostic & Evaluation Clinic in 1982 as Office Manager after 12 years of service.

Margaret was a member of the former Struthers Presbyterian Church now know as the Parkside Church, where she was a member of the Fireside Sunday School Class. She was also a former 50 year member of the Poland Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School.

Margaret was a member of the Friends of the Poland Library, the Trailwood Gardeners Club and was active in two Bridge Clubs. She volunteered her time at the former Western Reserve Care System Gift Shop for 12 years, Retired Senior Volunteer Program for 12 years, and Meals on Wheels for 8 years.

Margaret leaves her husband of 71 years, Arba Donald "Arb" Yentch, whom she married May 25, 1943; one son, Richard (Kim) Yentch of Montrose, CA; and four grandchildren, Scott and Robin Walter and Jonathan and Katrina Yentch.

Besides her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Walter; three brothers, Robert, Richard, and John Goodridge; and three sisters, Kathryn Bond, Dorothy Minnich, and Phyllis Kidston.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main Street in Poland, with Rev. Richard Ferris officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Poland.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until 1:45 PM at the funeral home.
