Boardman - Margaret Ann Yanno, 73, of Boardman, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday evening, April 29, 2014 with her family at her side.
Margaret affectionately known as Margie, was born May 18, 1940 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Ralph and Phyllis Restivo Ambrosia.
She was raised in Youngstown and was a 1958 graduate of East High School. Margie was a licensed cosmetologist, an Ordained Minister with Assemblies of God, and was the former Women's Ministry Director for Youngstown-Warren area of Assemblies of God. Margie, along with her husband, Albert, was founding member and co-pastor of Cornerstone Assembly of God and a recent member of Metro Assembly of God. Margie was very active in counseling young women and served numerous community organizations.
Margie leaves her husband, Rev. Albert P. Yanno, Sr. whom she married May 20, 1961; two daughters, Renee (Tony) LaGamba of New Orleans, LA, and Stacey (Robert) McMillan of Boardman; one son, Albert (Paris) Yanno of Youngstown; two brothers, Ralph (Joann) Ambrosia of Bradenton, FL, and Ronald (Sandra) Ambrosia of Ft. Meyers, FL; thirteen grandchildren, Tiffany Pechia, Kendra Gailey, Anthony LaGamba Jr., Dante Yanno, Kayla Kling, Caleb Yanno, Seth McMillan, Katina LaGamba, Jayquan Yanno, Paris Yanno, Rickell Yanno, Amber McMillan, and Dante "RJ" Yanno; and one great-grandchild, Conner Kling.
A service celebrating Margie's life will be held Saturday, 10:00 AM at Bridge of Hope Church with Rev. Albert Yanno and Rev. Tony LaGamba officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown.
Family and friends will be received Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, Boardman, and Saturday from 9:00 AM until 9:45 AM Bridge of Hope Church.
