Margaret W. Umbel

Margaret W. Umbel, 88 Towson, MD- Margaret W. Umbel, 88, formerly of 2465 Ridgeview Lane, Poland, died Wednesday morning at the Brighton Gardens Assisted Living Center in Towson, MD. Mrs. Umbel was born June 1, 1914 in Archbold, Ohio the daughter of the late C.P. and Celia Wheller Weber. She was a graduate of Wauseon High School and attended Miami University. She was a long-time Poland resident, and a member of the Poland Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening and making pottery. Besides her husband the late Donald C. Umbel, whom she married June 24, 1939, and who died October 24, 1998, she leaves a daughter: Sharon and son-in-law Burton Lohnes of Lutherville, MD; daughter-in-law Penny Umbel of Silver Spring, MD; two granddaughters: Erin Umbel; Julie Lohnes; and one grandson: Timothy Lohnes. She is preceded in death by a son: Robert; and two brothers: Marshall and Vinson Weber. A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM, Saturday at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends may call from 1-2PM Saturday at the prior to the service at the funeral home, Poland.
