Margaret "Marge" L. Seckler

Boardman - Margaret "Marge" L. Seckler, 74, died Thursday evening at the Hospice House.

Margaret, affectionately known as Marge, was born June 15, 1939 in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Hunt Hall.

A life long area resident, Marge was a 1957 graduate of Boardman High School. Before becoming a full time homemaker, Mrs. Seckler worked in the office for Republic Steel and later Metal Carbides.

Marge was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She enjoyed golf and was a former member of Tippecanoe Country Club and various golf leagues including Western Reserve and Mohawk Trails. When not on the golf course, Marge also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and crocheting. She was also a volunteer and member of Angels of Easter Seals and a part of its cookbook committee.

Marge is survived by her husband, David T. Seckler, whom she married November 4, 1961; three daughters, Susan (Mark) Poznar of Austintown, Kirsten (Dennis) Brady of Toledo, and Jodie (Scott) Williamson of New Springfield; three sisters, JoAnn (Jack) Harkins of Birmingham, AL, Ruth (Bill) Krajcirik of Austintown, and Susan (Browning) Fields of High Point, NC; and seven grandchildren, Paige and Grant Poznar, Lydia and Owen Brady, and Olivia, Ensley, and Broden Williamson.

In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by her sister, Carol McCreary.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at the new Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2:00-3:45 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.

The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, OH 44514.
