Margaret O. Mehard

Margaret O. Mehard, 97 Poland- Margaret O. Mehard, 97, of Park Vista formerly of 2426 Ridgeview Lane died Thursday morning at the nursing home. Mrs. Mehard was born August 18, 1905 in Youngstown a daughter of Thomas L. and Coral Berry Hughes. She lived most of her life in Poland moving to Park Vista one month ago. She was a graduate of The Rayen School and received her teaching certificate from Kent State University. She taught 6th grade in the Youngstown School District for six years. She was a member of the Poland Presbyterian Church, treasurer of its Friendship Circle and a member of the Mariners. She was a treasurer of the Poland Village Garden Club, a member of Friends of the Poland Library, Monday Conversational Club and Fortnightly. Her husband Robert S. Mehard whom she married February 25, 1931 died October 16, 1985. She leaves two daughters, Sally Evans of Nazareth, Pennsylvania and Gretchen Bradley of Boardman; four grandsons and three great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, one sister Rachel Stutz and an infant brother preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Monday, 1:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home. Friends may call Monday from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM at the funeral home. The family request memorial tributes go to the American Heart Association or to the charity of donors choice.
