Struthers - Margaret Mary Kostyshak, 91, of Struthers, died Monday, April 13, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ.
Margaret was born September 21, 1923 in Warren, OH, a daughter of William and Mary Benedict O'Brien. She was raised in Trumbull County and later made her home in Struthers where she raised her family. After her husband Alex's death in 2012 Margaret moved to Hillsborough, NJ to be with her daughter in July of 2014.
A graduate of Niles High School, Margaret was a homemaker. She loved to play golf (her husband taught her) and she belonged to several Ladies Golf Leagues. She also played Bridge and loved crossword puzzles. Margaret was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas in Struthers.
Her husband, Alex Kostyshak, whom she married June 5, 1948, died October 9, 2012. She leaves two daughters, Linda Kenyhercz of Hillsborough, NJ, and Beverly Greene of Ashville, NC; two grandchildren, Craig Kenyhercz of Hillsborough, NJ, and Jennifer Hill of Durham, NC.
Besides her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by sons-in-law, Charles Greene and Thomas Kenyhercz.
Private services were held at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home with Deacon John Terranova officiating. Interment followed at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville.
