North Lima - Margaret Komar, 96, of North Lima, died Thursday morning, April 18, at the Assumption Village.
Margaret was born March 4, 1917 in Uniontown, PA, a daughter of John and Mary Kopchany.
She lived in Struthers for most of her life and later in Canfield before moving to the Assumption Village.
Margaret was in charge of gift wrapping for the Strouss department store in downtown Youngstown for 18 years.
Her husband, Stephen Komar, whom she married October 28, 1939 died April 10, 1989. She leaves one daughter, Mary Ann Farrant of Austintown; one son, Robert (Mercy) Komar of North Lima; two sisters, Jospehine (Hank) Skillman of West Chester, PA, and Ellen Romanko of Connellsville, PA; and one brother, Steve (Evelyn) Franks of Uniontown.
Besides her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jack Farrant.
Visitation will be held Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45a.m. at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kristin Stroble officiating. Interment will take place at the Lake Park Cemetery.
