Youngstown - Margaret Javorsky, 89, formerly of Iroquois Street in Struthers, passed away Friday morning at the Paisley House with her family by her side.
Marge was born October 13, 1921 in Struthers, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Olsavsky Skvarka.
She was a graduate of Struthers High School and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. Marge was also a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol Lodge and the Jednota Lodge.
Her husband, John A. Javorsky, whom she married October 15, 1941, died December 11, 1989. She leaves three daughters, Geri Crawford of Struthers, Margie (Anthony "Chip") Ferradino of McDonald and Cindy (Tim) Swartz of Boardman; three grandsons, Jon Crawford, Scott (Dawn) Crawford and Anthony (Darla) Ferradino; three granddaughters, Jaime (Dan) Carman, Lindsey Swartz and Lorene Swartz; and seven great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Marge was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Naumoff; four brothers, Steve Skvarka, Joseph Skvarka, Eddie Collins, and Bernie Skvarka; and son-in-law, Tom Crawford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday 10:30 AM at Christ Our Savior at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 9:00-10:15 AM at the church.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mrs. Javorsky's name to the Paisley House, 1408 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44509.
