Struthers - Margaret Ann Hrycyk, 95, of Struthers, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 29, 2019.
She was born September 20, 1923 in Campbell, Ohio, to the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Tichy) Behun. Raised in Campbell, Margaret was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.
On August 30, 1958, Margaret married Nicholas Hrycyk at St. Nicholas Byzantine Church and spent the next 50 years together until his passing in 2008. In her early years, she worked at Strouss Department Store before becoming a homemaker for her husband and children.
When Margaret wasn't helping her husband with his volunteer efforts for the church, she enjoyed going to garage sales and collecting antiques. She was a vendor at several flea markets such as Hartville, Pulaski, and Theron's for many years. She also enjoyed dancing and singing along to her favorite Christmas carols and opera music which kept her cheerful and energetic in her later years.
Left to cherish her sweet memory are her six children, daughters, Marlene (Harley) Hrycyk of Boardman, Theresa (Paul) Burgess of Campbell, and Caroline (Sean) Cox of Lowellville; sons, Robert Hrycyk of Austintown, Richard (Trish) Hrycyk of Canton, and step-son, Nicholas (Andrea) Hrycyk of Michigan; grandchildren, Michael and Sarah Hrycyk of Canton, Paul (Maureen) Burgess of Pittsburgh, Arthur (Traci) Burgess of Austintown, David Burgess of Struthers, and Daniel and Tracey Burgess both of Campbell; a great-granddaughter, Lucille Burgess; and a sister-in-law, Kay Sporich of Warren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Morell and Helen Jacobs; and brother, Joseph Behun.
