Poland - Margaret E. Hladun, 85, of Poland, died Monday afternoon, September 20, 2010 at the Hospice House.
Mrs. Hladun was born June 30, 1925 in Campbell, a daughter of John and Mary Ferenci Polya.
She was a 1943 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and attended Youngstown College, where she took business classes. Mrs. Hladun worked as an egg candler for the former A&P Warehouse and also made drapes out of her home for 30 years.
She was a member of St. George Byzantine Catholic Church and helped served dinners for the church's bingo. Mrs. Hladun enjoyed spending the winter months in Naples, Florida with her husband.
She leaves her husband, Peter Hladun, whom she married May 9, 1951; two sons, John (Kimberly) Hladun of Berlin Center and Ronald (Judy) Hladun of Mountain Home, AR; and five grandchildren, Joseph Hladun, Melissa Hladun, Cole Hladun, Craig (Mary) Hladun, and Cody Hladun.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Joe, and George Polya; and a sister, Irene Tomory.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland. A Panachida service will be held Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
A Funeral of Divine Liturgy will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. George Byzantine Catholic Church, 1726 Canfield Road. Interment will follow at the Poland Riverside Cemetery.
