Margaret Evans

Margaret Evans, 93 Struthers- Margaret Evans, 93, died Saturday morning at Maplecrest Nursing Home. Mrs. Evans was born in Munhall, PA November 6, 1911, a daughter of John and Mary Dupal. She came to the area in 1936. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was a member of the 2162 Senior Citizens of Struthers, Catholic Daughters of America, Charter member of the Infant Jesus of Prague and was officer for 35 years; Altar and Rosary Society, St. Nicholas Seniors, and 1418 Senior Citizens. She also enjoyed baking and traveling. Her husband, Joseph M. Evans, whom she married October 17,1936,died April 2,1999. She leaves three daughters and sons in laws, Jeanne and Bill Serich, Flo and Bill Hittie,and Carol and Dick Grimm all of Struthers; a sister, Anne Murrin of Greenville, PA; and a brother, John Dupal of Linesville, PA; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Dupal; three sisters, Mary Lucas, Betty Dupal, and Rosalie Herman. Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:30AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers and 10AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Friends may call Monday 5-8PM at the funeral home.
