Struthers - Margaret Ann "Peggy" Cossack, 80, of Struthers, died Friday, January 4, 2008 in Forum Health Northside Medical Center after a long illness. Her loving family was at her side at the time of her death. Margaret was born April 18, 1927 in Struthers, a daughter of Andrew and Anna Patty Repasky, Sr. She was a lifelong resident of Struthers. Margaret attended Struthers High School and was employed as a telephone operator at Ohio Bell, in addition to having worked in the coil department at Youngstown Lamp Works. Margaret was a homemaker, and spent her life loving and caring for her husband and children. She was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers where she was a member of it's Altar and Rosary Society, the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild, and a former member of the choir. Margaret was secretary of the annual Repasky reunion at Churchhill Park, and she received the Mother of the Year Award from the Papoose Girls Club in 1960. Margaret loved the piano and was an established piano teacher in the area. She began her career teaching piano with her daughter Cynthia as her first pupil. Besides her love of piano music, she enjoyed attending piano recitals, plays, and outdoor concerts. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing, swimming and reading. She leaves her husband, Michael Cossack, Sr., whom she married May 18, 1948; a daughter, Cynthia Braden of Stow; three sons, Larry (Laura) Cossack of Boardman, Michael Cossack, Jr., of Youngstown, and Brian Cossack of Salem, Oregon; two sisters, Dorothy Loshuk of Struthers and Mary Joseph of Columbus; four grandchildren, Michael Paul Cossack, Eric Gbur, Melissa Cossack, and Billy Braden; two great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mrs. Cossack was preceded in death by two daughters, Katherine Mary Cossack and Diane M. Cossack; five sisters, Ann Baluck, Kay Rhodes, Helen Maga, Veronica Krispli, and Irene Coletta; and four brothers, Andrew Repasky, Jr., Frank Repaskey, Martin Repasky, and infant, Joseph Repasky. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers and 11:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends will be received Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
