Youngstown - Marcia E Davidson, 82, passed away Monday evening, Sept. 19,2016, at Park Vista Retirement Community in Youngstown following a long and fulfilling life.
Marcia was born on March 19, 1934 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Mayor Mark E. and Hortense Moore. She was a graduate of the Rayen School and went on to earn Bachelor degrees from Dennison University and later from Youngstown State University. She was employed as a lab technician for St. Elizabeth Health Center for 37 years retiring in 1998. Marcia was a volunteer with Meals-on-Wheels and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She also was an avid Bridge player, a member of several local Bridge clubs and the American Bridge Society.
She leaves her two sons, John M. Davidson of Youngstown and Mark E. (Tracy) of Westerville; two daughters, Katherine (Richard) Shank of Powell and Jennifer (Tom) Corsi of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Connor, Zach, Ben, Jack, Kate, Emma, and Eli; her sister, Dorothy Creighton of St. Petersburg Beach, FL. and sisters-in-law, Lois Glasgow, of North Lima, and Marion Deemer of Pasadena, CA.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Davidson in 1975, an infant brother, Mark and two sisters, Virginia Foderick and Mina Soderman.
In honoring Marcia's wishes, there will be no services. An informal Celebration of Life will be held on October 15th from Noon until 2 pm at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market Street Boardman.
