Niles - Lucille I. Traveline, 93, of Niles, formerly of Lowellville and Boardman died Sunday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Lucille was born May 7, 1918 in Youngstown, a daughter of George and Sarah Schrader. She was raised in Lowellville and resided in Boardman for 30 years before moving to the Manor at Autumn Hills one year ago.
A 1936 graduate of Lowellville High School, Lucille lettered in the Lowellville High School girls basketball team. Lucille enjoyed making a home for her family. She had a green thumb and enjoyed planting and nurturing her flower gardens. Lucille was an avid golfer and a loyal fan of the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and Belmont Stakes. Along with her family Lucille enjoyed vacations on the beaches in Sandbridge, Virginia. She attended the Lowellville United Methodist Church,
Lucille's husband of 74 years, Henry Traveline whom she married July 16, 1936 died March 18, 2011. She leaves one daughter, Kathryn Rayburn of Bay Village, OH; one son, Joseph (Anne) Traveline of Fowler, OH; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Mills, John Rayburn, Alan (Dawn) Traveline, and Bryon Traveline; and seven great-grandchildren, Ryan and Andrew Mills, Melissa, Matthew, and Maxwell Rayburn and Mackenzie and Madison Meredith.
Besides her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by one sister, Vera Slaven; and two brothers, Eugene and Kenneth Schrader.
Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM at the Lowellville United Methodist Church, with Pastor Hal Haire officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, Ohio.
Friends will be received Thursday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the Church.
