Struthers -- A Mass of Christian Burial, will be held Wednesday at 10 AM, at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church with Rev. William Petrunak officiating for Lucille C. "Peeney" Rivalsky, 81 of Fifth Street, who died peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Rivalsky was born August 14, 1928 in Youngstown, a daughter of Frank and Viola Munteer Conti and was a life long area resident.
She was a 1946 graduate of Lowellville High School, and she was a member of the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, and its PTA. She treasured her faith, prayed the rosary daily, and was very dedicated to her family.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward J. Rivalsky whom she married October 20, 1951; two daughters, Linda (John) Terlesky of Poland, and Cindy (Joseph) Muron of West Chester; one son Edward Rivalsky of Rocky River; two sisters, Ruth Nemet of Newton Falls and Hazel (Bill) Nock of Lowellville; and five grandchildren, Bradford, Sean and Ross Muron and Mike and Lauren Rivalsky.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Julie Bartholomew, and a brother, Frank Conti.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 5-8 at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, where prayer services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am.
