Poland - Lucille Marie McPhilliamy, 96, passed away Sunday evening, February 9, 2014 at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman.
Lucille was born in Youngstown on August 11, 1917, a daughter of Adolph and Mamie Bauschatz Doepping.
Lucille was a graduate of South High School, Youngstown State University and taught for 15 years at Dobbins Elementary School in Poland. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and a long time resident of Shepherd of the Valley in Poland. Lucille loved gardening, reading, traveling and socializing with her friends. She was especially fond of animals and birds.
She is survived by her son, Scott (Carol) McPhilliamy of Saint Clairsville, OH ; daughter, Linda Nielsen of Littleton, CO; four grandchildren, Megan McPhilliamy, Marissa McPhilliamy (Ben Grossman), Christina (Jason) Lebsack and Michael Nielson; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harry McPhilliamy; son, Randall Owen McPhilliamy; sister, Mildred Dillon; and a brother, Chester Doepping.
A memorial service will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman.
