Lucile O. Pardee Boardman- Lucile O. Pardee passed away quietly Saturday, May 28th at her residence. She was born February 12, 1909 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Fred H. and Charlotte (Schiele) Ottman. Her husband, John C. Pardee whom she married January 26, 1934 died August 15th , 1967. Following his death, she maintained an active interest in the family businesses, The James G. Pardee Co. and Pardeeâa�a��s Golf Shop. As a girl, she moved with her family first to Washington D.C. and them to Chicago, Il. where she graduated from Oak Park High School. She attended Carthage College for two years and received her BA from Ohio Wesleyan University. A devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family at her cottage in Chautauqua. Survivors include her two sons, Pierre J. Pardee of Rochester, N.Y. and John C. (Maggie) Pardee of Youngstown, and her daughter Suzanne P. Mokhiber with whom she made her home; four grandchildren, James P. Mokhiber of New Orleans, LA, Martha P. (Edd) Carlson of Hammond, N.Y., Robert J. (Jamie) Pardee of Columbus, OH., and James R. Pardee of Rochester, N.Y. She also leaves 5 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia H. Pardee, a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Samuel Bess, and a brother and sister-in-law, Millard and Lucille Ottman. In earlier years, she was active in numerous groups, including the Tippecanoe Womenâa�a��s Golf Association, the American Association of University Women, the League of Women Voters, Panhellenic, the Monnett Club, the Chautauqua Property Owners Association and the Chautauqua Lake Association. She was a long time member of the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and and on numerous committees. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 1:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends may call Tuesday from 11:45 AM until 12:45 PM at the funeral home.
