Lovetta D. Shortman, 82 Poland- Lovetta D. Shortman, 82, of 5825 Water Street, died last Thursday evening at her residence after an extended illness. She was born January 15, 1920, in Struthers a daughter of the late Roy and Martha Davis Collingwood. She grew up and attended school in Struthers, and had been a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Shortman was a member of the Struthers United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Columbiana Chapter #428, and Daughters of America. She enjoyed camping and square dancing, as well as, crafts and gardening. Besides her husband the late Robert Shortman, whom she married January 16, 1943 and who died September 17, 1996; two daughters: Lovetta and Roberta Shortman, both of Poland; a brother: Melvin Collingwood also of Poland. A sister; Velma Williams; and three brothers: Lee, Merle, and Charles Collingwood precede her in death. There will be no services. Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
