Boardman - Louis D. Moon, 79, died August 30, 2017 at his residence.
Louis was born October 27, 1937 in Youngstown, a son of Scott and Helen Barnes Moon.
He was a East High School graduate and worked for Columbia Iron and Metal in Girard for 35 years.
Louis was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan as well as NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife, the former Karen Simpson, whom he married July 23, 1960;one son, Rick (Lisa Hostetler) Moon of Columbiana; one daughter, Sherri (Dr. Andrew) Lockshaw of Boardman; four grandchildren, Mike (Nicki) Moon, Joe (Sierra Burkey) Moon, Ryan Moon, and Nick Lockshaw. three-great-grandchildren, JJ, Katie, and Scarlet; two brothers, James Moon of Canfield and Chester (Mary) Moon of Youngstown; and many extended family, grandchildren and great-children.
Besides his parents Louis was preceded in death by siblings, Clara, Charles,Owen, Marjorie, and Scott.
Per Louis's wishes there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements are being handled by Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
