Louis Magni

Louis Magni, Jr., 99 Boardman- Louis Magni, Jr., 99, of Beeghly Oaks formerly of Wingate Road died early Sunday morning. Mr. Magni was born November 13, 1906 in Glencoe, Ohio, a son of Louis Sr., and Esther Lovati Magni. He was raised in Glencoe and came to this area as a young man. He was a foreman for Electric Weld, a department of Republic Steel Corp., for 42 years retiring in 1968. After retirement he continued to work as a pipe inspector for Moody Engineering in Pittsburgh. Mr. Magni was a charter member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Boardman. He was an avid gardner. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. His wife the former Sarah DeSalle who he married September 15, 1928 died August 7, 2000. He leaves three sons, Samuel (Theresa) Magni of Boardman, and Robert (Carol) Magni and Richard (Erla) Magni all of Poland; twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Besides his parents and spouse, Mr. Magni was preceded in death by three sisters, Rose Battilock, Sylvia Lightbody and Evelyn Seifarth. Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:30 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and 10:00 AM. in St. Luke Catholic Church.
