Poland - Lou Etta Toriello, 82, died Thursday morning, March 8, 2012 at Hampton Woods.
Mrs. Toriello was born September 3, 1929 in Mineral Ridge, a daughter of William and Alice (Refinger) Brown.
She was a 1948 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Mrs. Toriello worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Joseph Mersol for 30 years, retiring in the 90's.
She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. Mrs. Toriello was the co-founder of the Mother's Club with the Poland Little Bulldogs, enjoyed bowling, making crafts, painting, and golfing, playing in a league at Tanglewood Golf Course.
She is survived by her husband, Edward "Jack" Toriello, whom she married January 5, 1951; two sons, Jack (Pam) Toriello of Champion and James Toriello of Boardman; sister, Helen Davis of Cleveland; brother, William (Yvonne) Brown of Cortland; five grandchildren, Alice (Spencer) Weeks of Cleveland, Jack Toriello of Champion, Cara Figley of Salem, Libby (Aaron) Schlagbaum of Columbus, and Beau Figley of Columbus; and 3 great grandchildren, Finnigan Weeks, and Liam and Jillian Schlagbaum.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Toriello.
A gathering of close family and friends will be announced at a later date.
