Loretta Mae D'Onofrio

Lowellville - Loretta M. D'Onofrio, 85, died Saturday morning, June 10, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

Loretta was born May 6, 1932 in Lowellville, a daughter of Joseph and Josephine Perrotta D'Onofrio.

A life-long resident of Lowellville, Loretta was a graduate of Lowellville High School. After graduation from High School, Loretta began working in retail sales starting with McKelvey's and retiring from Dillards in Boardman. After retirement she continued to work at Dunkin Donuts in Poland.

Loretta was a woman of strong Christian faith and read her bible daily. She was a member of Lowellville Senior Citizens and worked the Lowellville Election Polls for the Republican Party. Loretta was famous for her wedding soup and pizzelles, enjoyed attending the monthly D'Onofrio cousin breakfasts, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Loretta was very loved by her family and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Delores D'Onofrio; and many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by six brothers, John, Robert, Patrick, Vincent, William and Donald; and two sisters, Ursula Moffett and Mary Fleming.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 3:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville. Interment will follow at the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Lowellville.

Friends will be received Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the funeral home.

Loretta's family would like to thank Dr. Minotti and staff, Dr. Knight and staff at the Hope Center, Windsor House Inc., and the staff at Windsor House at Omni Manor Health Care Center for their care and compassion during her stay.
