ALBUQUERQUE -- Lisa Goldman, 46, formerly of Poland, passed away at her residence in Albuquerque, NM, November 1, 2010 from a brain aneurysm.
Lisa was born October 2, 1964 in Youngstown, the daughter of William and Grace Burch Goldman.
She is a 1983 graduate of Poland Seminary High School where she was a member of the marching band and the show choir that participated in competition in England. She also was a member of the Youth Choir and a Bell Ringer at the Poland Presbyterian Church. Lisa graduated in 1987 from Miami University where she was the head statistician for the varsity hockey team, and was a member of the sailing club, and a member of the Student Athletic Board. She was an avid sports fan of Miami Hockey, Ohio State Football and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguin and Steelers fan. Lisa attended the Philadelphia Paralegal Institute and worked for legal firms as a paralegal in Morgantown, Pittsburgh, Santa Fe and Albuquerque. She spent the last 11 years with the J. Edward Hollington & Associates law firm. Lisa made many friends where ever she worked and lived.
Lisa is survived by her parents of Poland Township, a brother Brian (Marilyn) Goldman of LaMarque TX, a sister, Beth (Ken) Miller of Geneva, two nieces Chelsea Miller-Ewing of Akron and Hanna Perts of Clarksville TN., two nephews, Jared Goldman of League City TX, and Edwin Goldman of Dickinson TX, a aunt, Rosemary Hanline of Oak Ridge TN; three great-nieces, Jordan, Lydia and Becca, and a great nephew, Colin. She is also survived by many cousins.
There will be a memorial service, Saturday, December 4th at the Poland Presbyterian Church at 11:00 am., where family will receive friends a half hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
