Austintown - Linda J. Woolford, 63, of Austintown, died May 18, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ms. Woolford was born September 12, 1948 in Warren, OH, a daughter of Robert and Marian Allshouse Woolford.
She was a 1966 Poland Seminary High School graduate. Ms.Woolford worked in Data Entry for Dart Trucking and later Better Management Corporation in Columbiana. She was Past Worthy High Priestess of Ruth Shrine Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem #64, member of the Eastern Star Miriam Chapter, Past Honored Queen of Job's Daughters, and was holder of the Degree of the Royal Purple. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was on several committees including the Joy Team Writers who sent monthly cards to shut-ins, and was also a member of the choir.
She is survived by her father, Robert Woolford of Austintown; a brother, Richard (Marybeth Brennen ) Woolford of Poland; and a niece and nephew, Elizabeth and Matthew Woolford; her Aunt and Uncle, Donna and William Allshouse of Sunnyvale,Ca.
She also leaves a long time friend who was like a sister, Margaret (Jim) Litwin.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marian A.Woolford.
Services will be held at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home Poland, Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ronald Spore officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
Friends will be received Monday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Tuesday 10:00AM-10:45AM at the funeral home.
