Linda S. Klacik

Struthers - Linda S. Klacik, 52, died late Monday evening, October 7, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

Linda was born February 23, 1961 in Youngstown, a daughter of Harold and Carol Kleeh Fahnestock.

A 1979 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, Linda continued her education at Youngstown State University and received her bachelor's degree in education. Linda began her teaching career at Youngstown City Schools and then the formal Byzantine Catholic Central. This 2013 school year, she was currently teaching the third grade at Struthers Elementary School where she had been employed for the last three years. She loved her students and teaching the third grade, and took her responsibilities to heart.

Linda was very devoted to her family. She was an amazing mother and a fully dedicated wife. Linda loved attending numerous events with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and loved animals. She especially loved dogs and cats and would always take stray cats into her home.

Besides her mother, Carol, of Poland, Linda is survived by her husband, Michael Klacik of 31 years, whom she married September 11, 1982; one son, Michael D. Klacik Jr. of Struthers; three daughters, Brittany (Nick) Klacik of Fairlawn, Kaitlyn and Kayla Klacik both of Struthers; two sisters, Debra (Craig) Fisher of Poland and Karen (David) Harris of Lowellville; one granddaughter, Bella Johnson; and one grandson, Kayce Cossack; her mother-in-law, Elaine Klacik; two brother-in-laws, David (Susan) Klacik of Canfield, and Robert (Mary-Ann) Klacik of Canfield, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her father, Linda was preceded in death by her infant son, Matthew Klacik and her father-in-law, Michael J. Klacik.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 AM at the Heritage Presbyterian Church with Pastor Kristin Stroble officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Park Cemetery.

Friends will be received Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, and Friday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the church.
