Struthers - Linda Jean Davenport, 74, passed away on Sunday evening, February 2, 2025, at Hospice of the Valley Hospice House, surrounded by her family.

Linda was born on May 24, 1950 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late John and Angelyn (Crushal) Magda.

A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in 1968, Linda went on to attend Youngstown State University. She spent a decade working in the scheduling department at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital before continuing her career at The DeBartolo Corporation and later at Things Remembered in North Jackson, where she worked with pottery until her retirement in 2010.

A devoted member of St. Dominic's Church in Youngstown, Linda found joy in reading her bible and engaging in bible study. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and sister, with a deep love for spending time with family. In her leisure time, Linda enjoyed playing the piano, tennis, and traveling to the ocean.

Linda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert N. Davenport, whom she married on July 29, 1978; their two children, Tara L. (Matt) Skeen of Hillsville, PA, and Rob N. Davenport of Austintown, OH; her brother, Raymond (Lenny) Magda of Atlanta, GA; a niece, Lisa Deley of Columbus, OH; a nephew, John (Kathy) Deley, Jr. of Lexington, KY; and three brothers-in-law, Donald (Paula) Davenport of Painesville, OH, Steve A. (Margaret) Davenport of Youngstown, OH, and Gary (Becky) Davenport of Austintown, OH. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Becky (Donald) Zimmerman of Manassa, VA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant brother, Johnny Magda; and her sister, Carol Deley.

Per Linda’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.

Arrangements are being handled by Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring Street, Struthers.
