Linda D. (Sturgiss) Beight

Poland - Linda D. Beight, 63, of Poland, died Tuesday evening, October 3, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic from complications prior to heart surgery.

Linda was born April 11, 1954 in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Charlotte Perkins Sturgiss.

Raised in Lowellville, Linda was a 1972 graduate of Lowellville High School. A nature lover, Linda loved working in her flower garden and bird watching. She also enjoyed shopping and walking the mall with her husband Jerry. An avid Browns fan, Linda was kind hearted and was tolerant of her husband's love for the Steelers. Linda's greatest love and joy was for her family, especially her grandchildren. Her kind smile and gentle ways will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Gerald Beight, whom she married January 18, 2003; one son, Jason (Jennifer) Schiraldi of Canfield; two daughters, April (Ronald) Purtee and Holly (Anthony DeMart) Schiraldi all of Lowellville; two step sons, David Bartholomew and Shawn (Debra) Beight; three step daughters, Cindy Adams, Lorrie Dial, and Kathy (Rodney) Bickel; one brother, Timothy (Michelle) Sturgiss of Lowellville; one sister, Kelly (Joe) Serenko of Austintown; one sister-in-law, Pam Sturgiss Notareschi of Poland; four grandchildren, Kalista and Jeremy Wolfgang, Rylie Purtee, and Kenley Schiraldi; nine step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, David Sturgiss.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland with Pastor Kevin Rauch officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Boardman.

Friends will be received Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Poland.
