Struthers - Lillian Y. Marsh, 78, of Struthers, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Hospice House. Mrs. Marsh was born May 3, 1930 in Struthers, a daughter of John and Julia Evankovich Vlosich. She was a 1948 graduate of Struthers High School. Mrs. Marsh was a true homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking. She particularly loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of St. Nicholas Church, where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society. She also worked the annual festival at the church and volunteered her time working Bingo. She was a member of the Croatian Lodge No. 66 and volunteered for the American Cancer Society. She leaves her husband of 56 years, Edward Marsh, whom she married May 10, 1952; her son, Edward (Patty) Marsh of New Middletown; two daughters, Patricia (Mark) McClure of Struthers and Cheryl Richards of Poland; a brother, John Vlosich of Niles; a sister, Marcia (Steve) Styranec of Poland; and six grandchildren, Katie and Maggie Marsh, Matthew and Michael McClure, and Zachary and Nathan Richards. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Eleanor Vlosich. A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers. Interment will follow in Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown. Friends will be received Wednesday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where a prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the nursing staff of the 6 W floor at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman for the wonderful care and compassion they gave to Mrs. Marsh and her family.
