Lillian âa�A"Sisâa�A� Marie Hallas, 93 Poland âa�" Lillian Marie Hallas, 93, of 7173 Forest Hill Road died suddenly Wednesday morning at her residence. Mrs. Hallas, also known as âa�A"Sisâa�A�, was born May 17, 1911 in North Lima a daughter of Howard and Loretta McGavin Summers. She was raised in Youngstown and moved to Poland from the south side in 1978. A 1928 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Mrs. Hallas worked in transportation for the 98th Division of the Army during World War II. She was later a secretary for the Youngstown Board of Education and then Woodrow Wilson High School. Mrs. Hallas was a member of St. Patrickâa�a��s Church in Youngstown where she was recognized as one of their oldest members. She loved spending her summers at their cottage on Lake Erie in Saybrook, Ohio and enjoyed swimming especially in cold water. She enjoyed boating with her husband, and was a member of the Redbrook Boat Club in Ashtabula. Besides her husband, Edward Hallas, whom she married June 28, 1941, she leaves two sons, Howard (Suzie) Hallas of Poland and Robbie (Marty) Hallas of North Jackson; three grandchildren, Keith, Sara, and Bobby Hallas. Besides her parents, two brothers, Ted and Ray Summers preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrickâa�a��s Church. Friends may call from 9:15 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions maybe sent to the church. Condolences maybe made to
