Poland - Leslie G. McNeal, 74, died May 11, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center with his family by his side.

Mr. McNeal was born May 24, 1941 in Petersburg, a son of Solomon and Alfreda Flitcraft McNeal.

He was 1960 graduate of New Springfield High School. He worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube(LTV) until its closing. He then went on to work for various different steel mills in the area, until his retirement in 1988. Leslie was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Struthers Parkside Church.

He enjoyed cars and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Leslie was a devoted and patient husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley DePuy, whom he married Sept. 9, 1965; two daughters, Betty Taylor of North Lima and Cindy (Bob) Black of New Waterford; one son, Rich McNeal of Poland; one brother, Charles McNeal of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Bill (Julie) Taylor, Chelsea McNeal, Jon, Josh, and Kaitlyn Black.

Besides his parents, Leslie was preceded in death by his step-mother, Louise Sumerall; one brother, Edward McNeal; two sisters, Twila Boyd and Debbie Stevens; and one son-in-law, Rocky Taylor that he treated like his own son.

Services will be held at Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman, Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield.

Friends and family will be received Sunday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Monday 10-10:45AM.
