Leone W. Howell, 96, of Boardman, died Sunday morning August 5, 2018 at Masternick Memorial in New Middletown.
She was born November 14, 1921 in Albany, NY, daughter of Andrew E. and Hazel (Wilsey) Colvin. She came to the area with her daughter in 1991.
Leone worked as a Bookkeeper for the Master Molding Company of Farmingdale on Long Island, New York. She had also worked for the Army Air Corp. payroll division in New York City during World War Two.
She was a member of Boardman United Methodist Church and its Women's Society. She was a former member of the Farmingdale United Methodist Church on Long Island, New York.
Her husband, Stephen Howell, whom she married August 26, 1945 died April 30, 1991.
She leaves her daughter, Lynne (John) Stoll of Poland; Her son, Robert (Cindy) Howell of Redding, California; six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert E. and William A. Colvin.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Wednesday August 8, 2018 at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman. Friends may call from 4-5:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests material contributions take the form of donations to the church, the American Cancer Society, or to Alzheimer's research.
