A Memorial Mass will be held Monday 10:00am at St. Charles Church in Boardman, Ohio for Lena Olive Lazzeri formerly of Canfield and Rural Valley, PA. She passed away Friday morning at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Mrs. Lazzeri was born September 7, 1917 in Seminole, PA a daughter of Frank and Rosa Baldassari Cerutti. She was a homemaker and was active with Catholic Daughters of America of St. Mary's Parish, Yatesboro, PA and Golden Agers in Canfield. She volunteered with the Alzheimer's Association and was a RSVP Volunteer.
Her husband, Carlo C. Lazzeri whom she married Jan. 8, 1947 died in May of 1992.
Surviving her is a daughter, Carla (William) Schuller of Birmingham, AL, and a son Frank (Charleen) of Boardman. Sisters, Elsie (Ryan) Pierson of Bel Air, MD, Thelma McDaniel of West LaFayette, IN, Enis Lazzeri of Sayre, PA and Irene Howells of Erie, PA. and a brother Richard Cerutti of Cumberland, MD. Also six grandchildren, Lucia (Ritvan) Likollari, Anthony Lazzeri, Gabrielle Lazzeri, Kara (Jeff) Skahill, Dana (Josh) Smith and Kyle Schuller. And three great grandchildren, Allerton Elizabeth, Teagan Olivia, Lena Anne.
Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents are brothers, Joseph Frank and Henry Cerutti and a sister Mary Knoch.
The family will receive friends Monday from 9-9:50 am at the Church.
Interment services will be at 2:00pm Monday at St. Mary Cemetery in Yatesboro, PA.
In lieu of flowers the family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to Boardman Schools Fund for Educational Excellence, an organizationally advised fund of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, 201 E. Commerce Street, Suite 150, Youngstown, OH 44503, or Hospice of the Valley, 5180 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
