Lena M. Calve

Lena M. Calve, 82 Boardman- Lena M. Calve, 82, of Shepherd of the Valley, formerly of Struthers, died Sunday evening at the nursing home. Mrs. Calve was born May 26, 1923, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Alexander and Amina Frank Aluisia. She was raised in New Castle and came to Struthers in 1948. A 1942 graduate of New Castle High School, Mrs. Calve was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, and a former member of its Altar and Rosary Society, Mom and Dads Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sons of Italy. Her husband Frank, whom she married April 28, 1945, died February 23, 2004. She leaves one daughter, Darlene (Gary) Caswell of Poland; one son, Richard (JoAnn) Calve I of Boardman; one sister, Lydia (Carmen) Romanio of New Castle; one brother Danny (Donna) Aluisia of New Castle; and three grandchildren, Terra Caswell, Mandi Mitchell and Richard Calve II. Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Calve was preceded in death by one brother, Aldino Aluisia. Funeral services will be Thursday, 12:00 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home and 12:30 PM at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church.
