Boardman - Leigh M. Yallech, 46, of Boardman, died, unexpectedly of a stroke, Wednesday afternoon, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown with her family at her side.
Leigh was born August 13, 1969 in Youngstown, a daughter of Glen and Nadine Tirpack Kramer.
She was raised in Boardman and was a 1987 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. She received her Bachelor Degree in Education from Youngstown State University and her Master Degree from Westminster College. Leigh was a second grade elementary teacher for Campbell City Schools.
While at Cardinal Mooney, Leigh was a member of the tennis team and she continued her love of the sport as a member of the Boardman Tennis and Swim Club. She was a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Boardman.
Leigh loved spending time outdoors, basking in the sun, and shopping. She looked forward to their family vacations, especially the annual trips to the beaches of Destin, Florida. Leigh's greatest joy in life was her family. A devoted mother, Leigh's favorite past time was watching Nicholas play football and baseball and volunteering for the numerous sporting events. She found joy and happiness staying quietly at home with family, cooking, and taking her beloved dog Archie, for long walks.
Leigh's life, though it was short, was filled with happiness, contentment and joy. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Leigh leaves behind her parents, Glen and Nadine Kramer of Ashland; her husband, Todd Yallech, whom she married November 14, 1992; son, Nicholas J. Yallech at home; sister, Marla (Scott) Carnicom of Lock Haven, PA; brother, Glen (Carolyn) Kramer of Avon Lake, OH; nephews, Jacob Kramer, Harry Carnicom, Dylan and Jansen Paumier; niece, Kerrie Kramer; father and mother-in-law, James and Gail Yallech of Boardman; brothers-in-law, James Yallech of Boardman and Robert (Anne) Yallech of Poland.
Leigh was preceded in death by her grandparents, Glenn and Beatrice Kramer and John and Ann Tirpack.
Leigh gave the ultimate gift of life by being an organ donor.
Friends and family will be received Monday from 4-7 PM at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market Street, Boardman, OH.
A prayer service will be held Tuesday, 10:15 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Father Philip Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
