Lee Brent Yaist Sr

Boardman - Lee Brent Yaist Sr., 63 of Boardman, died June 6, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center with his family by his side.
Mr.Yaist was born June 10, 1949 in New Milton, WV, son of Leroy and Agnes Law Yaist.

He was a 1968 South High School graduate. Lee worked as a machine operator for Hynes Industry for 37 years, before retiring in Jan. 2010. He was a member of the USWA Local #2377. Lee was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and an Ohio State fan. He was youth football coach for the Poland Little Bulldogs for many years.

He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Smith of Boardman, whom he married, Sept. 4, 1971; children ,Lee Yaist Jr. of Greenwood, IN, William (Lisa) Yaist of Youngstown, Scott (Brandy) Yaist of Rossford, OH, Heather (Charles) Crissman of East Rochester, OH, and Susan Yaist of Boardman; seven grandchildren, Evan Yaist, Madeline, Annabelle, Samantha, Kayla, and Michael Crissman, and Richard Yaist; and one grandchild on the way, Henry Yaist ; two sisters, Neva Yaist of Canfield and Clara (Alan) Goins of Youngstown.

Besides his parents, Lee was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lyle; and one brother, Frank Yaist.

Services will be held at Greenford Christian Church, 11767 Lisbon Rd. Canfield, OH, Monday at 1:00 PM.

Friends will be received Monday 11:00 AM to 12:50 PM at the Greenford Christian Church.
Arrangements will be handled by Davis-Becker Funeral Home, Boardman.
