Leanora "Lee" Hoffman

July 28, 1927 — March 13, 2016

Leanora "Lee" Hoffman, 88, went to dwell in the house of the Lord, on March 13, 2016, where she will be reunited with her husband Frank William Hoffman Jr. who passed in 2006. Lee was a resident of The Hampton Woods Assisted Living in Poland, Ohio.

Leanora was born July 28th, 1927 in Struthers, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Newell and Margaret Culler. Lee graduated from Struthers High School in 1945. She worked in the office of Strohman Bakery for over twenty years, retiring in 1992. She was a former member of the Struthers Methodist Church.

Leanora and Frank were married on February 14, 1949. They enjoyed their marriage for over fifty-seven years until Frank's passing in January,2006. Lee loved to plant flowers around her house. Her canned hot peppers were enjoyed by many friends and relatives. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining friends and relatives at their home located in Springfield Township, Ohio.

Lee is survived by two sons; Frank William Hoffman III and Victoria and Daryl Lynn Hoffman and his wife, Valerie. She also leaves five grandchildren; Gregory (Miriam), Samantha (Samuel), Melinda (Alllen), Frankie, and Justin; and seven great-grandchildren; Allen John, Kalotina, Browning, Anastasia, Caleb, Miles, and Maren;  and her brother, Arthur Newell and his wife, Marcia.

Leanora was preceded in death by two brothers,Jesse Newell and Eugene Newell; a sister, Grace Ronci; and an infant son, Perry Cogan.

The family of Leanora Hoffman would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Hampton Woods Assisted Living staff and Crossroads Hospice for all of their dedication, care and help to make our mother, grandmother, and sister's final years a wonderful and enjoyable experience. Friends will be received on Tuesday, March 15th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring Street, Struthers, Ohio. A brief recap of Lee's life will be presented by her niece, Debbie Vaughan at 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service. The funeral procession will depart immediately after the service to Lee's final resting place alongside her husband at Lake Park Cemetery. The family invites all in attendance to join them for a celebration of life luncheon at the Becker Family Center on Spring Street, Struthers, Ohio.
