Laura C. Lewis, 96 Poland- Laura Constance Lewis, 96, of 2976 Red Maple Lane, died Monday morning after a long illness. Mrs. Lewis was born January 21, 1907 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Arthur and Constance Carter Moon. She came to this area as a young girl. She was a graduate of South High School and attended Halls Business College. She was secretary for Youngstown Sheet and Tube Payroll Department for 10 years. She was a member of Brownlee Woods Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir, a member of Miriam Chapter No. 278 Order of the Eastern Star and a former member of the Tippecanoe Country Club. Her husband Edward J. Lewis whom she married May 28, 1935 died August 22, 1967. She leaves one daughter, Laura Jean Lewis-Villone with whom she made her home; two grandchildren, Edward (Laraine) Villone of Struthers and Lisa (John) Villone-Melek of Poland; two great grand-children, Jenna Marie Villone and Alexa Leigh Melek. Besides her parents and husband, one sister, Elizabeth Morgan-Burdette and a son-in-law George J. Villone preceded in death. Funeral services will be Friday, 11:00 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
