Larry McDaniel, 73 Struthers- Larry McDaniel, 73 of 26 Grandview Ave died Thursday evening at his residence. He was born April 21, 1933 in Greer, South Carolina a son of Felmet and Ruby Batchelor McDaniel and came to this area from Blacksburg, South Carolina in 1951. He was a supervisor of the Line Department of Ohio Edison retiring in 1994 after 40 years. Mr. McDaniel graduated from Blacksburg High School in 1951. He was a member of Christ Church of Boardman, Argus Lodge # 545 F&AM, a 32nd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite, Al Koran Shrine of Cleveland, the Youngstown Shrine Club where he drove the van to Shrine Hospitals, Aut Mori Grotto, the Grotto Old Timers, the electrical section of the Grotto Circus Committee, the Argus Golf League, High 12, the Poland Masonic Breakfast Club, the Chatterbox Club, the Kentucky Colonels and the Youngstown Coin Club. He leaves his wife, the former Donna Mahaffey whom he married June 28, 1952; six daughters, Karen Wawrosch (Joe) of Columbus, Georgia, Deborah George (Bob) and Linda Pittmann (Matt) both of Struthers, Sandra Metzler (Brant) of Austintown, Susan West (David) of Houston, Texas, Donna Johnson (Keith) of Friendswood, Texas, and a son Larry McDaniel II (Cindy) of Struthers; a sister, Joyce Harris (J.D.) of Gaffney, South Carolina; 2 brothers, Roy Lee McDaniel (Cordy) of Cleveland, Ohio and Jerry (Shad) McDaniel (Linda) of Blacksburg; 18 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. A sister, Virginia Black and a brother Billy Joe McDaniel are deceased. Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Sunday at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where the funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday with Rev. J.R. Selders officiating. Argus Lodge will conduct a Masonic Memorial Service Sunday at 7:00 PM. The family requests that memorial tributes be made in the form of contributions to the Erie Shrine Orthopedic Hospital, 1645 W.
