Larry Edwards, 83, of Struthers went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 14, 2016.
Larry was born Dec. 8, 1932, a son of Calvin and Alice Edwards.
Larry was of the Methodist faith his entire life, was a graduate of Lowellville High School, and worked for the Struthers Police Department, where he retired as a detective. He also served in the Army as a Signal Batallion in the Korean War.
He loved life and his family, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, as well as riding and caring for horses.
Larry leaves his wife, Esther Rae, of 65 years; daughters Valerie (Kenneth) Robenolt of Canfield, and Pamela(James) Vasilchek of Lowellville; brother Richard of Florida; grandchildren: Tiffany, Emily, Nicole, Sarah, John, and Brian; and great grandchildren: Mia, Noah, Nadia, and Eve.
Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a son, Charles Edwards Jr.; brothers, Lyle and Jim Edwards; and sisters, Carol Rhoads, Vivian Blinsky, and Janet Lago.
A celebration of Larry's life will be held at Davidson-Becker, 11 Spring St., Struthers on Saturday at 12:00PM by Reverend Michael Grant, where friends and family will be received from 10AM until the time of the service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Arthur Duran and the staff of Hospice of the Valley for their loving care in Larry's final days.
