Krista Marie Musolino

Youngstown - Krista Marie Musolino, 30, of Poland, left this earth for a better place peacefully Monday morning. Krista was born August 29, 1978 in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Patricia Canale Musolino, and was raised in Poland. She was a 1996 graduate of Poland Seminary High School and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Youngstown State University in 2006. Krista was a varsity cheerleader for four years for both Poland Seminary High School and Youngstown State University. She was a member of St. Matthias Church where she was a former reader. Krista had a great love for animals where she rescued and found homes for them. She loved helping people in need, especially children and seniors, and volunteered at numerous schools and nursing homes. Krista was adventurous and loved to travel. She will be dearly remembered for her enthusiasm, her vibrant nature and spontaneity, and loved being with her family and friends. Besides her parents of Poland, Krista leaves two brothers, Joseph P. Musolino of Chicago, IL, and David P. (Tammy) Musolino of Cincinnati, OH; her maternal grandfather, Antonio Canale of San Bernardino, CA; two nieces, Kaylee and her godchild Isabella Musolino; nephew Tyler Musolino; her boyfriend of five years, Donald (O.J.) Norberg of Struthers; and her dog Sisko. Krista was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Pasquale and Maria Christina Musolino; and maternal grandmother, Nancy Canale. Funeral services will be Friday 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthias Church with Msgr. Peter Polando officiating. Friends will be received Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, where the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will conduct a prayer service at 4:45 p.m. Contributions may be made in memory of Krista's name to St. Matthias Statue Campaign Fund, 915 Cornell Avenue, Youngstown, OH, 44502.
