Boardman-
Kenneth R. Wilson, 92, died Saturday evening at Vibra Health Center.
Mr. Wilson was born Jan. 8, 1922, in Scienceville, a son of John and Mildred Weaver Wilson.
He was a 1940 graduate of Scienceville High School. Kenny was manager of Singer Sewing Machine Company for 32 years, retiring in 1980. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in WWII stationed in India.
Kenny was an active member at St. Luke Catholic Church. He also was a long time member of the China Burma India Veterans Group. He enjoyed playing the lottery and shopping for cars, especially Cadillac's.
His wife, the former Alda Campana, who he married June 15, 1946, died June 14, 2004.
He is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Michael) Sakmar of Boardman; a son, Robert (Joanne) Wilson of Canfield; three brothers, Randall (Mary) Wilson of Howland, Gene (Pat) Wilson, of San Diego, CA, and Harvey (Sandra) Wilson of Boardman; two sisters, Ruth Shaffer of Phoenix, AZ and Babe Linden of Virginia; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife, Kenny was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth (Charlotte) Wilson Jr. and Michael (Janey) Wilson; a daughter, Marianne Wilson; a brother, Harold Wilson; and a sister, Frances Wilson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 10:00 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the new Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St. in Boardman and Wednesday from 9:00-9:45AM at the church.
