Youngstown - Kenneth Warren Seckman, 84 of Youngstown, died peacefully after an extended illness Sunday morning at his home with his family at his side. Kenneth was born Monday, May 12, 1924 in Struthers, a son of Arza D. and Dessie Conklin Seckman. Kenneth was a 1943 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. He worked at Republic Steel for five years and retired from General Fireproofing in 1985 after working there for 38 years. He was an avid square and round dancer for many years in several clubs in the area. Kenneth leaves his wife, Janet, whom he married on June 26, 1950, one daughter Debra (Rich) Tarnaski of Youngstown, one son, David (Deb) Seckman of Franklin Tn, one granddaughter, Holly Tarnaski and her fiancé James Justice, one grandson, Ryan Sprague and one great-grandchild, Jagis Sprague, one nephew Kenneth (Arlene) Moore of Youngstown, and many other extended family members. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Zola Moore and one brother, Allen Seckman. Services will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where family and friends will be received from 11:00 - 12:45. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
