Kathryn Lucille Marconi

December 1, 1927 — June 19, 2015

Kathryn Lucille Marconi, 87
West Palm Beach, FL- It is with extreme sadness that the children of Kathryn Lucille Marconi announce
her passing. Kathryn departed this life peacefully surrounded by her children on
June 19, 2015, at the Lourdes-Noreen McKeen Residence in West Palm Beach,
Florida. Kathryn was born to Joseph and Katherine Bart on December 1, 1927, in Struthers,
Ohio. She graduated from Struthers High School and went on to become a
registered nurse with the Youngstown Hospital Association, as her lifelong passion
was to love and care for others whether it be a close family member or complete
stranger. She married the love of her life, Attelio Antonio Marconi, on April 24,
1954, and they went on to make a wonderful family with four children, Jeffrey,
Janice, Jeanine, and Jody, in Poland, Ohio. Kathryn and Attelio retired from their
careers in their late 50s and eventually relocated to Wellington, Florida, to be close
to their children and grandchildren.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her dearly loved parents and husband. She is
survived by her children, Jeffrey (Beth) Marconi of Cape Coral, Florida, Janice O'Neal
of Boca Raton, Florida, Jeanine (Rafael) Heria and Jody (Socrates) Romay both of
Wellington, Florida, her grandchildren Rafael, Jack, Lisa, and Paul, great-
grandchildren, Zachary, Makayla, Josiah, and Anastasia, sisters, Joan Needham and
Denise Putigano, sisters-in-law, Viola Celli and Helen Marconi, as well as many
special cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Calling hours will be at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland, Ohio, on
Friday, June 26, 2015, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and a prayer service will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at Holy Family Church also in Poland. Kathryn will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you
donate to your local chapter of Hospice in Kathryn's memory.
We feel incredibly blessed to have had Kathryn as our mother and, while we know
she has gone on to live an eternal life in a beautiful, tranquil place, we will miss
looking at her gorgeous face, hearing her lovely voice, and feeling her gentle touch
each and every day. We will always carry her memory in our hearts.
