Kathryn Louise Frank

December 16, 1920 — November 23, 2018

Kathryn L. Frank passed away in the comfort of her home in the early hours of Friday, Nov. 23rd.  She was cared for by her loving family during her last days.   She was in failing health for several months.

Kathryn was born Dec. 16th, 1920 to George and Mary Maze in Sharon, Pa.   Her family relocated to Struthers where she graduated from Struthers High School in 1938.  After graduating from Youngstown Business College in 1940, she began her career as a secretary with the Youngstown law firm of Heim, Johnson, Beard, & Beard.

As a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Struthers, she met and married William G. Frank on June 15th, 1946, also of Struthers.   Becoming a homemaker, they raised 4 children in their home in Poland.  A long time member of Christ Lutheran, she was very active in the congregational activities.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Ralph (Lyn) Frank of Fort Myers Fl.,  son David Frank of Poland,, son Mark (Candace) of Andover, Ohio,  & daughter Beth (Dave) Rhoads of New Middletown.   She also leaves her grandchildren Jillian Stewart, Kerilyn Frank; Crystal Alexander, Adam (Gina) Planty, Andrew Frank;  Rachel (Bradley) Murphy, Stacy (Steven) Bensinger, & Caitlin (Timothy) Norris.  She also leaves 6 great- granddaughters;

Lindsey, Eastlyn, Kessley, Brooke, Bailey, and Cora.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bud, of 54 years who died Dec. 10th , 2000, brother Ralph & sister- in- law Dottie Maze, brother Victor who died at the age of 7, and grandson Derrick Frank.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29th at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland.   Friends may call on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at 11 at Christ Lutheran Church in Struthers with Pastor Paul Burgeson presiding.  Burial will be held at Poland Riverside Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests any memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 250 Sexton St., Struthers, Ohio 44471 or Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, Ohio 44512.  The family would like to thank Dr. Passarello, Dr. Scrocco, and Hospice of the Valley for their kind and compassionate care that was given to Kathryn.
