Kathleen Evangeline Wellman, 80. Poland- Kathleen Evangeline Wellman, 80, died early Saturday morning at Assumption Nursing Home. Mrs. Wellman was born on May 7, 1924, in New Castle, PA, a daughter of Earl V. and Gertrude Elizabeth Hamilton Davis. She came to Poland from New Castle in 1946. She worked for Wardâa�a��s Tip-Top for 22 years and retired from Schwebelâa�a��s Bakery after 10 years of service. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Struthers. Affectionately known as âa�A"Nana Kitty,âa�A� Mrs. Wellman was devoted to her family. Her husband, Daniel Wellman, whom she married on June 4, 1941, died June 26,1990. She leaves two nieces, Kathleen Evangeline Higgins-Conway of Poland and Danette (Scott) Higgins-Large of Boardman; One nephew, John (Lisa) Davis of Hartville, OH; two sisters, Margaret L. Higgins of Poland, and Frances Davis of New Castle; one brother, John (Martha) Davis of Campbell; three grand-nieces, Maggie Conway, Sarah Jane Large and Aleena Davis; and five grand-nephews, Daniel Conway, Jeremy Large, and Aleksandr, Nikolai and Stefan Davis. Besides her husband, Mrs. Wellmanâa�a��s parents preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, 10:00 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
