Kara Lynn Bohach, 54, of Columbus and formerly of Lowellville, passed away September 24, 2017 in the ICU at Cleveland Clinic of total organ failure with her family present. Her illness spanned 7 months and 20 days in the ICU at the Clinic.
Kara was born January 26, 1963 in New Castle, PA, a daughter of John and Gail Weaver Bohach.
She was a 1981 graduate of Lowellville High School and received her Bachelor's Degree in Art from Kent State University. After graduation, she moved to Columbus and worked at Franklin Art Glass Studios as a stained glass designer. She did beautiful work for numerous churches, college campuses, and homes in the past 25 years. Her talents were appreciated by many.
Kara is survived by her mother, Gail Bohach of Lowellville; her brother, John V. Bohach of Lowellville; and her loving four legged companion, Zelda.
In addition to her father, Kara was preceded in death by her grandparents, Vern and Edith Weaver and Nicholas and Anna Bohach.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 1:30-2:15 p.m. at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman, where a memorial service celebrating Kara's life will follow on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Following the service, all guests are invited for dinner and fellowship at the Becker Family Center.
