North Lima - Julia R. Notareschi, 92, of Lowellville, died Wednesday evening, February 12, 2014 at Assumption Village with her family at her side.
Julia was born August 19, 1921 in Lowellville, a daughter of Samuel and Adeline Bonaventure Coppola.
A life-long resident of Lowellville, Julia was a 1940 graduate of Lowellville High School. She was homemaker and co-owner of the Italian Villa in Lowellville. She continued working as the cook when the restaurant became Geno's.
Julia was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Ladies Guild. She was a former member of the Ladies of Mount Carmel Bocce Team.
Her husband Frank Notareschi, whom she married September 14, 1941 died October 20, 1991. She leaves her children, Lucille Yarnell and Karen (Robert) Pallozzi both of Lowellville, Frank (Kathy) Notareschi of Asheville, NC, and David (Debbie) Notareschi of Las Vegas, NV; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Julia was preceded in death by three sisters, Leodine Mangine, Carmel Murphy, and Helen Saad; seven brothers, Louis, Edward, Tippy, Joseph, Samuel, Matthew, and Michael Coppola.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church with Fr. John Jerek officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Lowellville, Ohio.
Friends will be received Sunday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home Lowellville, where a Prayer Service will be held Monday at 10:00 AM.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for the wonderful care given to their mother at the Assumption Village, with special thanks to the nurses and aides in the Special Care Unit and the Spiritual Care Giver and the Activity Aides.
