Julia "Judy" Davis

West Salem -Julia “Judy” Davis, 72, of West Salem, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Wooster Community Hospital. 

Born June 4, 1952 in Youngstown, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late John and Nancy Sefarek - Moore. John passed away unexpectedly, and Nancy married, William Moore, who lovingly took on the father role and raised Julia. 

Judy attended Poland Seminary High School. She spent much of her life doing ministry work for many churches and their community. Judy could often be found battling with her family and friends in many card games, especially the classic game of Euchre and Poker in which she obtained the name of “Judge Judy”. She was a homemaker in many ways. Her famous lasagna and salad were often one of the many meals that her family looked forward to. 

An animal lover at heart, Judy always took joy in being around her grand pup Timber. She enjoyed her nights going out with her friends to Karaoke nights and being a part of the fun atmosphere. Above all, Judy’s kind, gentle and spunky soul will be missed by all who have known her. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard; daughter, Kimberly (Richard) Ivan, of West Salem; grandchildren, Michael Ivan, Varonica (Fiancé Matthew) Ross, Frank (Fiancée Kayle) Ross, Tyler (Mara) Burkley; step grandchildren, Cody Reinke and Andrew Cornell; great-grandchildren, Bently, Gunner, Braylen, Oakley, Brooklyn, Penelope, and Kinsley; brothers, Thomas (Sharyn) Moore, and Bill (Dawn) Moore; step children, Trista Reinke, Samantha (Brad) Cornell, Nichole (Ryan Gallagher) and Kris (Jody) Notley; sister-in-law, Pat Moore. 

In addition to her parents and father figure, William Moore, she was preceded in death by her first husband Bud Davis; and brother Joseph Moore. 

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. with a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers, OH 44471.
