Gravelborg, Saskatchewan, Canada - Juanita Marie Couture, (Wanda Cruz) 63, of Gravelborg, Saskatchewan, Canada, died Sunday afternoon, November 22, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Juanita was born February 22, 1952 in Youngstown, a daughter of Rosario and Ethel Smith Cruz.
She was raised in Struthers and was a 1970 graduate of Struthers High School. She received her bachelor degree in nursing from Youngstown State University and her masters degree from Kent State University. Juanita was a Family Nurse Practitioner. She formerly worked as an RN for Northside Hospital.
Juanita is survived by her mother, Ethel of Boardman; her husband, Dr. Daniel Couture, whom she married December 17, 2005; four daughters, Rachel Moshe of Pensacola, FL, Linda, Deborah, and Joanna Larson all of Struthers; two brothers, Luis (Rae) Cruz of Poland and Tony (Sue) Cruz of Campbell; four sisters, DeeDee (Daniel) Wade of Youngstown, Linda (Tom) Byle also of Youngstown, Elena Cruz of Campbell, and Teresa (Dino) McCormick also of Campbell; four grandchildren, Gabriel and Yoni Moshe, and Faith and Cody Larson.
Besides her father, Rosario Cruz, Juanita was preceded in death by her brother, Greg Cruz.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 AM at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman, with Pastor Ron Royalty officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the funeral home.
